Well, it will be easier to tell when there is some data to see. It’s a great idea, but as it is now it look a littlebit "oldish". You should consider looking around a bit on the net to be inspired of some, at least in my opinion, good css-designs.

The login-buttons looks a bit stabled up on each other.

And you should absolutely test your site in different browsers. In Opera and Firefox the grey title-line goes outside the right-border.

It will be great, but in my opinion it needs a bit more work. Keep up your work. (And now you may criticize my bad tast if you like). smiley

I sorta get wat you’re saying (for some of it), but would you mind pointing out some of those types of designs? Also, what exactly do you mean by stabled up on each other?

And oops on the grey bar, I actually use Firefox, just missed it though wink

Here’s one design Zi kindly let me have that I’m very fond of... http://loripsum.co.uk/ziblue.html

One of these days I’m going to convert my own sottwell.com site to that template, although there is some benefit to using the default MODx installed template for a MODx demo site, I suppose.

so the basic idea is the graphics aren’t bad, it’s more of their orientation and layout (graphics in comparison to the ziblue grin)?

i like the new one much better. The headings are more announced and the login is much-less cluttered.
