Stemplate - First ModX Site!

Hello everyone,

I want to thank everyone involved in ModX, be it the developers or the community, for the huge amount of support that has been given to me during the development of my first ModX website.

I have now fully completed the website and it is viewable online at:

www.stemplate.com

I thought I’d also make a breakdown of the problems I encountered and the threads associated with resolving them.

Creating Separate Menus on a Page

Displaying the Latest Images From a Directory (home page)

Getting Friendly URLS to Work

Creating the Download Boxes Using Placeholders

Troubleshooting Friendly Urls on a Remote Server

This of course doesn’t include the countless Wiki entries that helped me on my way. I really feel I’ve got a grasp of ModX now and will hopefully give back to the community by creating a collection of ModX templates.

Thank you for the brilliant support.

Wow, nice site!

But you completely forgot about dynamic search/404?

Easy to implement you know

Nice site!

(wondering if it will work on your site... Hmmm...)

I don’t want to integrate dynamic search because I earn an Adsense revenue through using the Google search function.

I will undoubtedly implement it in future sites.

Thanks for the comments!

Awesome Henry!
Thanks for putting your project in context with the forum threads etc, very nice touch.
Congrats on the launch.

Nice site indeed. Looks great. Thanks for posting links to your problem areas on here. I can totally empathise with you on some of them and I’m about to implement a load of features on the next rounds of work so I’ll be referring back to your post for sure!
Cheers

No, thank you for the help with the download boxes. Remember the design work offer is still open.

ModX has got me excited now over possible projects to start up. I look forward to working with it in more detail in the future.
