Started this as a joint project with www.blucel.co.uk.

    http://www.iphone-hackers.net/

Development is still ongoing but, as always, we’d be pleased to hear of any comments on the use of MODX.

We’ve also included the use of JQuery and plan to expand into the jquery UI libraries.

Nice site, it has quite a bit of content already. The image gallery is very cool. Well done.

A few things you should consider changing (imo):

        - The icon-navigation on top would probably look better if you put the icon-text beneath the images, not to the right. That way you could place all your icons in one row only. The up-to-date news icon looks a bit lost now...

        - http://www.iphone-hackers.net/iphlickr.html features an image that has been resized via HTML img-attributes. It’s distorted, because the original image is much smaller.

        - http://www.iphone-hackers.net/web-apps.html features thumbnails that are also just resized via HTML, instead of using smaller versions of those images. Apart from taking more time to load, it also looks kinda ugly if you minimize pics via HTML.

        - I’d make the site-title, and perhaps even the whole top-left img-area a home-link as well. That’s usually where you’d expect a "home" link to be, it has become an automatic thing to do for a lot of people (logo = home, or "top of the category").

        - I’ve noticed that a few pages don’t use "friendly URLs". I’d use the same URL schema for all pages (either FURLs all on or all off). You probably forgot to add an alias in some pages.

        - The sitemap link just goes to the frontpage; I don’t see any sitemap at all.
