New website with MODX - www.dama-haus.si (my 2nd)

Hello,

there it is, another webpage made with Modx. For now, it’s just in slovenian language. It uses some common snippets, like maxigallery,eform,wayfinder,ditto,ajaxsearch and breadcrumbs.
I’ve also implemented google maps, and connected it with galleries (module). Soon after, i found that googleMaps snippet already exists. And not a bad one.
Front animation is JavaScript only. Check the languages menu aswell

That is a nice site. Well done. Very pleasant to go through and easy to understand. I like the language selector, good use of js.

Some good css work as well, I like the pages with the highlight facts surounding the house image, very nice.

I find it interesting that it seems that the modx community has some very talented designers. I guess it has to do with the freedom that you feel when using a tool that inspires you to be creative. This forum category is almost like a design showcase.

Lovely site! The only suggestion I have is to slow down the Javascript carousel on your front page. By the time the page had loaded for me it was already heading towards the second image. It seems it’s not quite long enough for my eyes to settle on the image. Although it could be that my eyes are shot.

I agree with the comments about the image rotation on the front page, that does seem a bit too fast - I’m thinking an interval of 8-10 secs would be just about right. The language menu is very well-done, love how that drop downs with the language selection.

All round, I can definitely see the attention to detail right across the site, keep up the good work

Yes, that is a clever language menu. It would be even cleverer if it switched the "main" language item with the one selected, though.
