    Hi,

This is my first post and also my first site with MODx.
Please check it and tell me what you think, it’s a webdesign portfolio : http://www.chamadigital.com

I’m loving this cms, but I’m having some probelms with the software, when I’m editing content in the manager, specially rich text TVs, the content doesn’t update, but if i edit with quickedit it all goes well. Is it a bug?

    cheers

Great first post! Welcome to the community Anselmo - I love the site grin

I’ve heard of the TV problem before - I’m not entirely sure what the problem is but you’re definitely not on your own. Do you use Safari? I know Safari has issues with the Rich Text editing - have to wait for Safari 3 for that to be fixed.

Also, the logic with how changes are detected when editing a document has been changed as well, those changes will be in the pending 0.9.6.1 update. That may well fix the issue.

                English speakers:
I´m very happy with this cms, but the fact that the manager can’t save rich text editings with TVs it´s a downside to modx. It would be nice to find a solution to this.

                Thanks for your support

The way I experienced this quite a lot is when i don’t change the text-content but instead use the html button to update the source or the image button to change an image. If i don’t do anything but those 2 things and save the changes, as far as I can tell, allways end up lost.

If, besides doing the image or sourcecode change, I type and remove a white space before I save everything is fine. This bug has been around quite some time (pre 0.9.5) and it is not related to Safari since I use FireFox most of the time. The main content RTE behaves well, the bug occurs for custom Rich Text TV’s.

I know this is not the right place to report it but since it came up I felt I’d post it here anyway.
