        Hi Guys,
        just one suggestion:

If you think that my prices are to low and that price will create problems for you, here is a solution:

        - I will develop websites for you (as you all agreed, for very low price) and you sell those websites and take all the difference in price...
Good for me and good for you. Outsourcing is a future.

Well, to be fair, it’s not your prices which create problem for us, but companies who do just that : outsource (not always transparently) the work where prices are lower tongue Honnestly, I wouldn’t do that or if I did it, I’d pay fairly the people I work with, no matter where they live and work. I might be a sucker for ethics but...

Anyway, that’s the way of the market and you can’t fight it, at least you can’t fight on prices... luckily not every people work is outsourced to is as good as you (yet) wink

Pricing is a personal issue that we all have to deal with on our own terms according to our own individual situation and objectives. grin

Yes, but I think that price is not a problem, especially because we (outsourcers) can make your life easier.

You arrange web site creation with some company, ask me to do that for you for my price (8E per hour is my standard price, and I’m very satisfied with it), after I finish templates, you fill site with data (or hire me to do so) and send info to client with preview address to check the finished site.

I need form 5 to 9 hours to convert almost any PSD file to xHTML/CSS2 template (DW, MODx, Joomla...).
              This was 6 hours work today: http://www.spotkg.com/preview/apple/index1.html (index2.html, index3.html)..

Your life is easier, you have more time to contact more clients, and I can live nice life with this money...

              Everybody happy...

Nice work, really clean design and code smiley

Yeah time estimate is about right, it depends on wether or not this include the graphic work and how much of that is needed. Pure PSD to XHTML can sometimes not be more than 2/3 hours for a simple layout. You really could make more than 8 euros an hour (given the quality, you’d deserve it !).

The thing is, most of the cost of developping a website is tied to the mods the client want to the original layout. A PSD doesn’t replace the real thing, navigating through it and actually using the design. That’s why fixed price can’t be that low (unless the client can’t mod anything that wasn’t in the PSD without being charged by the hour). Or else you have to be very clear what falls within the package and what does not and that’s not such an easy thing to define sometimes.

Now that’s the design part, but after that you have the content management and feature set too...
Anyway, if I outsource one day, I might just contact you smiley

                  Nice design skill  grin

As a freak for clean code, I do think you can bring yourself to the next level if you :

                  1) <em>Understand the use of leading/line-height and spaces</em> and how this tiny detail can make a already beautiful layout shines
ie, In the above example, there really need padding (top/bottom) for each paragraph. That say, good designer makes beautiful layout; great designer pays attention to small detail.

2)<em> understand html structural and semantical markup</em>. That’s how it means to, when combining with CSS, that is,  separating content from presentation.

CSS and structural markup go hand in hand, lack of either one, you can’t ready make the content separates from presentation in my humble opinion. Also, in my observation, many people struggle with CSS, is because they never truly understand or never bother to learn the structural and semantical markup.
One extra bonous, a well structured with semantical markup for your layout greatly enhance your site ranking in Google.

Treating every line of contents with a ID or class, using &nbsp; and
to make room for paddings/margins  is no better than using old school evil  table layout.  And these are what I was seeing in your website. Examples:

                  <p>&nbsp;</p>
<li> <p></p></li> /* nothing wrong to have <p> in the <li> but it’s not necessary at all in your example. */

Lastly, please don’t’ take my constructive comment as personal attack  wink
