    couple of pretty fun mods..
mostly, the biggest was extending the web user and web user attributes system for use with the association members.
once data for members (web users) was converted/imported into the extended web user tables, built a couple sorting/display areas using mootools.
these sections can be found in ’find a builder’, ’find a remodeler’ and ’associate members’ sections.. thanx for any feedback.

When in "Find a Builder", in the By Category tab, after selecting a category (I selected Flooring), several of the results were in triplicate. For example, Ahoy There Construction Company and Albemarle Contracting Svs.

Wow, pretty cool stuff! Sure like the way you handle the sorting/display options. I had thought of realizing that as the Wiki describes http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Tabbed_content
, but compared with MooTools that is just yesterday’s way... Mind sharing how you realized such a functionality with a complete newbie?

Thanks much for that bug note - got that tackled today, still have no clue how that managed to slip past.. Think it was result of adding some db element to display with results at the last minute and not testing properly. I think its good to go now. Very much appreciated. smiley

            Greetings, Alex

Sure, I’d love to. Is there a specific part you wanna see the guts of? Let me know if so, or if a general overview of the project/modifications would be more helpful. Thanks for the compliments. smiley

              Sure, I’d love to.
Gosh, that would be great! Sure you opened a new universe to me already and made me want to come to grips with how this all works. I started some reading and searching and found this piece for SimpleTabs: http://digitarald.de/playground/js/SimpleTabs.js, but can’t make much of it just yet (I had read a book on JavaScript once, but I have to admit it has been quite a while already embarrassed). So understanding how you did your wonderful page - I especially like that it has such a light and bright look and gives users instant orientation and straightforward functionality - would for sure make a lot of things click for me.

I guess MooTools is part and parcel for the tabbing function, but I have no idea yet as for where and how to integrate the core files and the scripts for the tabs. Can you just put those in the template?

Also, I am trying to understand how you built for example the "Find A Builder" page. The "Builders A-Z" tab is probably the easier part: Is this done with TV’s for the characters? The "Builders by Categories" tab on the other hand must have been the more difficult one. What snippets did you use for that?
Any hints would be greatly appreciated,
              Greetings, Alex

I guess it must be done some way similar to jessters use of jQuery here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,14953.msg103494.html#msg103494. But I should do some proper reading now and don’t ask all my questions straight in the forum.
              Greetings again, Alex
