I’ve been using Modx for a while now but I’ve only got two sites built on it.

    http://wildfireproject.com/

    http://www.nbwconline.com/

both sites are built on v0.9.6 using the updated Ditto2 snippets.

on wildfireProject.com, I used Ditto2 to create the maps XML feed. Hope the ministry prospers I’m looking forward to more than two colors on the map.

    http://wildfireproject.com/worldMap.xml <--- not Valid XML

you can get these maps, free for non-commercial use at http://www.backspace.com/mapapp/

nbwconline has a full blown newsletter publisher, and archive. Aswell it contains the XSPF player (will be replaced due to inflexibility) and a sermons feed. please ignore the Google maps integration (not complete/terrible condition).

That map script is a great find!  I’m going to have to use it myself now. Both sites look great!

The fact that the page doesn’t validate likeley has to do with the TextArea Editor not being set up to not use font. Most of these TE editors TinyMCE and FCK and the like all default to crap output when not configured properly. There are also the typical TE issues with empty paragraphs and the use of the align attribute.

Oh, and there is the fact that end users don’t care if it is valid. We build them but we need to build them so they don’t break them.

Thanks for the information about the online editors and the problem that they have, will be useful to me.

You are right, had not thought about it, I believe that I also would choose to assure the site before to worry about the Web standards.

Well for the most part "standards" ensure that a site will work, not just at present but in the future as-well.... I’m so ashamed embarrassed

That’s actually a buddy of mine, he did all the logos for this guys multiple entities. He’s a pretty rad Designer. We’re working on making him a developer... so watch out.
