Is there something like fake AJAX? o_O

imo, having to click once for the video-selection, and then a 2nd time for "top of page" is not so user-friendly. You could solve it with just one click instead. Use one of those lightbox solutions where you can load just about any outside content: iframes, html, Flash... Someone who’s not into reading website "instructions" simply won’t click on the "top of page" button and therefore wait forever... or leave.

I have to agree ... had I not seen the note about scrolling up I would have thought the site was broken. I would expect the video to load where it was clicked, or in a lightbox as described, or for the click to have also scrolled me back to the top of the page and started the video ... there’s lots of (redundant extra) clicking needed!

IMO, the display of the "Letters Received" wasn’t very intuitive...Remembering which were open and were closed wasn’t very fun...it feels like there should be either a.) some form of indication to point out which story has been "revealed" or b.) a totally different way to present the information.

I have looked for a solution for the the scrptaculus AJAX to close all open IDs but I can’t find it anywhere!

Oh, and yes there is a fake AJAX, the AJAX scrptaculus, mootools etc use is just fancy javascript... Real AJAX use http headers to load content without refreshing the page (in a nutshell).

Funny that... I really thought that the J in AJAX stood for ’fancy javascript’...

Here’s a good definition of what AJAX really is:

Ajax, or AJAX, is a web development technique used for creating interactive web applications. The intent is to make web pages feel more responsive by exchanging small amounts of data with the server behind the scenes, so that the entire web page does not have to be reloaded each time the user requests a change. This is intended to increase the web page’s interactivity, speed, functionality, and usability.

The name is an acronym standing for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. Ajax is asynchronous in that loading does not interfere with normal page loading. JavaScript is the programming language that Ajax function calls are made in. While I’m totally off subject...

Quick question to TobyL. When well the admin system on MODx be able to handle multiple domains (sites)... A kind of "one admin system to rule them all" type of thing.
It would be great to administer all me clients websites from just one admin system
