    Hi!

A few month ago Timon told me about MODx and what a great piece of software it is. Since i was disappointed with all the CMS I tried so far I decided to give MODx a chance with my next "big" project. To be honest, it took me quite some time to get familiar with the "new way of doing things" (thanks to Timon for the support), but now that I have finished my first project with MODx I will probably never use anything else again! ;-)

Thanks to the MODx team for this incredible CMS!

Oh, this is the result: http://www.textilmesse.de

It’s a multilingual (german and english) site for a trade fair about textile printing and stuff. Since MODx does not support multiple languages right now I simply duplicated and translated the whole document tree. I have build a module to import the exhibitor list directly from the .xls file which saves *a lot* of time and trouble! Exhibitors can login to complete/edit their profile and to register for the trade fair catalogue.

My second MODx site is far more simple and did not require any custom coding:

    http://www.trafficlights-bandcontest.de

The person responsible for the content (a computer noob) had no problem at all getting started with MODx and was pretty fascinated how easy it is to edit the website. Oh, check out how you can switch the color on the bottom left side! wink

The features i would love to see in upcoming versions are support for multilingual site and a chance to use one MODx install for multiple sites.

    Thumbs up!

    cheers,
    Sander

I second support for multilingual sites. That is something I really need.
I think, thererfor I am! But what I am, and why...?
