Thanks for sharing ShawnC. I’m sure many (including me) would be quite interested to learn how you pulled off the various Flash/Ajax/MODx integration bits. Is the main navigation built dynamically from the MODx using something like Wayfinder?
As far as feedback goes, reloading the various sections reloads the whole header "intro navigation" (for lack of a better nomenclature), and that gets old really fast. At least it builds very quickly though!
Also the highlighting on the you-are-here tab state happens too frequently ... it’d be cool to see that happen randomly every 15-60 seconds, instead of what seems to be now about every 5 seconds.
Keep up the great work ... can’t wait to see it come together.
Wow thanks for the comments, The TabNav is static in flash with javascript calls, and the nonflash version is just some basic image rollovers that gets a onclick adde d to them by javascript. Eventually ill be doing a wayfinder call to feed links to flash(flashvars) but for now it was quicker to just make it static.
The Treemenu in the topleft greenbox is the Yahoo YUI! treemenu and via WayFinder template i have added a onclick to a ajaxpage loader function
The whole bookmark fix is using yahoo yui! also (ps this is a very nice library, iv moved from prototype->mootools->YUI! )
Im tryin to fix all the little bugs in the ajax page loads and ill be releasing a tut on how i did it which was fairly simple.
I must admit MODx is the most powerful CMS iv ever tryd and i love the snipets and chunks and stuff:)
EDIT : Fixed the no-flash/flash link in the header/footer
