Well, after waiting 30 seconds while the Flash intro was still loading, I gave up on it. Maybe a "skip intro" link?

I would agree the load is slow, even on my 15Mbit connection. With that said though ... what an impressive site. I’d love to learn more about how you integrated MODx with Flash ... could you share that with us? And the other pieces you customized?

That’s an impressive site. Nice use of flash and I too would love to learn more about how you achieved the seemingly dynamic flash/modX integration.
          Cheers

Nice to see someone else has to still do full flash sites rolleyes

I guess modx is easy to integrate as it can output xml. You could even template a wayfinder menu as as a xml tree for your menus.

            modx is so flexible.

We agree it is kinda slow. But its a site based on high quality images (no sottwell its not an intro, what you didnt wait for is the images for the frontpage main categories, it has 27 of them, all presented with their image). It has about 2500 image / products inside. Now about the intergration, everything is outputed dynamically in xml, queries have been created as snippets to get the needed results, it uses a snippet / module based on imagemagick for the conversion and thumbnailing/caching of images. The good thing is that modx worksfine even with more than 3000 items in the tree.
Everything on this site, from the menu to the colors are controlled via modx.

              Thats basically it.
              Thank you for you feedback.
              Alex.

Nicely explained. Many thanks for taking the time to explain how flash can be driven by ModX. A most noteworthy method indeed!
