    Hi Everybody,
Long time lurker here, but now I’ve finally gotten my first modx site off the ground for my web consultancy.

While I’m still technically going through the learning curve, I’m hooked already. Way way too many reasons to list here, but the biggest thing for me is the awesome templating features. In the past, integrating a template design from one of my designers into Wordpress (which is not bad), or Joomla/Drupal, was not always the easiest. With modx, its a snap. Also, the simple fact that you can assign templates on a page-by-page basis means that I can implement page specific stylesheets or javascript files without having to include them on globally. Very nice indeed.

I know that I’ve only scratched the surface, but I am in love already with the simplicity and power of Modx.

Here is my first implementation. I’ve been too busy handling my current project load to finish writing the copy for the site, so please excuse the excessive "lorum ipsum’s". smiley

I just wanted to thank the developers and the community behind modx. I’m really excited about this platform!

Nice site, I like the overall outlook, colors etc.. I would really like that the portfolio section would have a link to each site somewhere, now the address is just in the "item title". The picture in "our ethos" page is too small to read the text and I would suggest to use MooTools + Slimbox rather than scriptaculous+prototype+lightboxv2. They both look and work just the same but MooTools is alot lighter.

        Hi Doze,
Thanks for the comments and feedback. Totally agree with all points, I threw the site up as quickly as I could as I had a brief peiod of downtime between projects. Still ashamed I haven’t had time to finish the copy, but I guess I’d rather be busy than not.....

Thanks for the tip on Slimbox, I’ve never run across it. It does seem to be very lightweight which I am of course a big fan of. Do you know if its easy to customize to call inline div content similar to the Leightbox variant of Lightbox?

I guess that it wouldn’t be very hard to do that with Slimbox if you know mootools/js good. But I’ve seen lots using jQuery powered thickbox to do that. That’s another light combo.
