    We just launched our first ModX site, http://www.claritylasercenter.com/. In addition to the standard ModX stuff, we wrote some custom code in our AJAX Presentation extension to Propel framework that we call PHPTurbine.

    This includes the procedures section, the physician finder and the financing section. All of these sections are relationally linked and show the physicians’ practices based on attributes you set. We also did some nifty google maps integration to tie it all together.

    So far we really like ModX, and will be using it for some of our other projects, including our site which we are in the process of redoing.

    Anyways, let me know what you think. grin

      Is that the same php turbine as http://www.blue-pacific.com/products/phpturbine/default.htm

      Also, did you look at xPDO by chance? Our original plans for 1.0 included Propel, but we lost a boatload of overhead and complexity by going our own route. In fact we had an entire port of MODx done in Propel but it just didn’t meet our performance goals. http://xpdo.org/

          The font you chose for the top level menu and body text isn’t aliasing correctly for me. Was this done intentionally so that I would opt to get lasic? tongue

          More seriously though, I am using FF 2.0.0.2 and here is screen capture of how it looks.

              Holy wow at that font rendering! Not sure what’s going on there. The default font is Lucida Sans... Thanks for the screenshot.

              The PHPTurbine is not the same. Ours isn’t really ready for release yet, so we haven’t investigated naming conflicts. It will most likely change later.

                Lucinda Sans, just renders badly on my computer. I have that font installed and pasted it into Word 2007, and it looks just as bad. So maybe it is just me :-D Although, all other fonts on your page look fine.

                  Very nice site. smiley

                  .. and for the font issue, use:
                  font-family: "Lucida Grande", "Lucida Sans Unicode", Verdana, Arial, Sans-Serif;

                  Hope this will help to solve the font issue on windows.
