This is still a work in progress but for the most part, the things that are there are staying smiley

I took a look at it in IE for the first time earlier and ... eek. So that is something I need to sort out. The Mediengestalter textbox is a lot longer in IE. The link in the menu are a lot greyer in IE too.

Anyways the site is www.adrianlawley.com and it will be where I upload files for the Flash community and other bits and bobs. it has a protected area too for showing things to clients etc.

    Look forward to any feedback!

    Taff

My advice is to introduce a new color to make more contrast for example to make the user identify the various parts of your site. It becomes a bit orange white.

I would also try to focus on the use of image. The image usage should stick to the purpose/goal of the site.

I went to a real exciting conference last year at the university of Copenhagen. Where the students had made a survey of how people interpretate or figure different websites out. They did it with an eye tracking software and interviewed the users on what the purpose of the different sites. A large number of sites which used images that did not quite fit in to context of the sites were not easily understood.
