Finance comparison site

We’ve just released our first site built with MODx.

http://www.moneyandmymoney.com

Uses various Snippets and a completely custom Module to handle bank account and credit card comparisons. In most other systems we would have had to build this separately from the CMS, so it was great being able to do everything within the one framework.

Thanks MODx.

Roan

Nice one Roan!

I don’t have 2 pennies to rub together myself, if I did I would certainly bookmark your site. Now what gives me the feeling it’s Scottish!? ........
Nice clean feel, straight to the point, does what it says on the tin. Just a few small niggles: font differences between IE and Firefox (h1 - serif or sans serif), layout breaks with font size increase: I set minimum font-size on Ff to 13 being a bit short-sighted. Would also prefer font-size of side same as main. Back to IE and no Adblock Plus, shock! horror! flashing gifs! Thought they were going out of fashion. Yeah, I know. Sponsored links - can’t live with ’em, can’t live without ’em!

BTW, posted a link in General MODx Discussions forum to your blog.

Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback.

I am not the biggest fan of sponsored links either, but unfortunately it was a necessity of the brief.

Could you elaborate about the layout breaking with increased text size? I thought I’d covered that. I know the nav bar goes a bit wonky, but everything else seems to be fine for me on FF. Short of going for an elastic layout (which maybe I should have done) I couldn’t really help that with the amount of nav options.

Thanks again for the feedback, and thanks for linking to my MODx review!
