More editable areas in template?

Hi, i just wanted to know whether its possible to have more [*content*] editable areas than one in template?

For instance if I have page with regular content and additionally grid of boxes somewhere in the middle and all those boxes should be able to have client-editable content.

Or that should be sorted with chunks?

what you are describing sounds like a template variable (tv).

create a tv with a rich text input, and apply it to the templates which you wish to have the additional input, and you’ll be good to go! once you start playing with tv’s you’ll see they provide many different options and possibilities, not just an additional text area.

considering that i just started, I still don’t get whole TV potential..
could anyone explain that little bit more plainer?
