I’ve made this site using ModX and since most of the people around here are into web standards I thought this could interest some of you. The site is called Alwaysvalid.com and it’s a service that automatically checks your selected pages to see if the HTML is still valid. Very usefully since site rarely stay valid once people start entering new content.

I does this once a week and sends an email to you if it finds an error. (Is is checking once a day during a test period)

Almost all of is built using Modx and the API. Comments and suggestions welcomed.

Great job hexagone. That’s a killer idea too for a web service. I love it! smiley

Looks like a hole in the market to me, really nice! Also signed up, which showed me this missing piece on the email: "Once you log into Always Valid at ., you can start adding sites to your watchlist.", an other unusual thing I came across was the ’last validation’ date, it shows "2001-01-01" for me when I first added my webpage, which can’t be correct wink, in addition to that my site is now listed twice (with the same ID) as I hit ’back’ in Firefox, which send the postdata again, I suppose.

I must say the style also looks pretty nice, only thing is that the ’my account’ looks a little bloated and probably the logo could use some anti-aliassing as it’s a bit edgy but besides that, really nice.

I corrected the email, it seems that the [+surl+] placerholder wasn’t being replaced so I manually put the URL. I also corrected the the double site bug and changed the date to 0000-00-00 so that it doesn’t look as weird before the site makes it’s first validation (+/- 10 minutes).

            Thanks
