    Hi Guys,

I have MODX as my main site, in public_html, however I want to be able to access a directory, say test.

    www.mysite.com/test/

whenever I click on this in my browser I get a 404, even though I’ve created the folder with my FTP client.

I’m pretty sure MODX is stopping/preventing access, but not sure what I need to change to allow access. (presume .htaccess line or something like that)

Would someone please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

Is there anything in that folder? There is nothing in MODx that will prevent access to something like www.mysite.com/test/test.txt. It’s possible that your server is configured to deny access to requests for folders alone.

        Hi Sottwell,

Thanks for such a speedy reply. I’ve used absolute path, e.g. www.mysite.com/test/banana.txt but still get a 404 even though the file is still in there. This is strange.

EDIT: Just found out that I was ftp’ing into an *old* server with identical file structure, Doh!

        Thanks Sottwell for your help.
