    Hi all.
Just launched a new version of a client’s site (v5, even though nobody’s counting but me wink ) and I’m really extremely happy with it.

    Cari.net

The site’s using a ton of TVs, snippets, chunks, etc. Using Textile, to make sure the content is nice and clean. Some jQuery with some Thickbox (check this page and click on the "ping" or "traceroute" link for some neat thickbox stuff). Also an order form that I’m pretty happy with, using jQuery.

Also, I’ve used a lot of ideas from an absolutely great book, "Don’t Make Me Think", which is absolutely brilliant in its approach to design + web + marketing. I mean, it’s common sense, but brilliant common sense.

Anyway, I’d love any comments, feedback, criticism, etc. There’s a tremendous amount of talent in this community, to which I’m much obliged!

I don’t know if this is a problem for you, but I have firefox set to "Force links that open new windows to open in a new tab" in options > tabs, so when I clicked those links, they just opened in a new tab. Altough, if I try the demos at thickbox demo site they open fine like they should..

Also an order form that I’m pretty happy with, using jQuery.
If I click in the first selection "Cannot be added to a cluster" or "2 or more servers on a private VLAN" texts, the form changes accordingly, but the radio option does not get selected. Same thing if I click any of the values in "Monthly" or "Setup" columns. Then, on the contrary, the checkbox "Shared Cisco PIX" does not react in anyway clicking on the text, even on its label. So it differs from all others..

Anyways, some glitches here and there, but nice job all in all.. I like the layout even though there is alot of different "badges" on some of the pages that to draw your attention too much and makes abit hectic outlook. I liked the "add build" feature in the Custom Server Cluster page.

Very nice. Love the server configuration form.

You seem to have a minor footer issue in IE though. The footer image is half way up the footer content box.

              Hi,

really nice but wanted to inform you of a bug in the Custom Server Cluster page with safari. After clicking on "add build", we are sent to the homepage.
I haven’t looked at the source code but did you use on click event in the a tag or href="#" with <base> in the header ?

              hope that helps

              :-)

Thanks all for the compliments and the bug finds. Very greatly appreciated.

@sottwell and @zi: Thanks! Coming from you two, it means a lot.

@hellotrope: Are you using Safari 1? Seems to work ok in Safari 2, but I could be wrong. Haven’t testing in Safari 1. That code is from the FormAssembly’s wForms, but it’s not the latest version. Maybe time to upgrade.

@doze: Really good observations. I’ll check that out and see if can figure out the Thickbox/tab issue. The form issues you mention: What browser+version are you running? It’s a known issue (that’s being worked on) in Safari, but if it’s in another browser I’d be really curious.

                @Robsta: Thanks. Can’t believe I didn’t catch that.

Oh, a mystery bug that I’d love feedback on: If you look at the page with Firefox 1.0 (download K-Meleon .9 if you want to avoid conflicts with your existing Firefox), there is the weirdest green line extending from the main logo to the left of the browser. I absolutely cannot figure out why it’s there. It goes away on hover. I think it’s kind of funny, if only because as far as I can tell there is no reason for it to appear (or disappear) at all.

Firefox 1.5.0.6 but the same is with IE6.. Did you understand what I mean? if you go to the dedicated server order form and click on "Monthly" or "Setup" column value on some items, the item get’s highlighted and the price is calculated, but the radiobutton selection is not moved to that item.

                      Impressive.
The site is a bit too loud for my taste, but it’s very well made.
I like the ’you are not speaking with this woman’ line in the live chat. Stockphoto’s are much more bearable when coupled with humor smiley
Small annoyance: the dedicated server order form doesn’t fit in my 1024*768 screen (I get a horizontal scollbar).
Thanks for MODx - I love it!
