I’ve just created this website for a Paintball site:
Adrenalin Games Paintball site in Devon

I’ve used a great image replacement technique for the round nav, have a look at the source code!!!
I’ve also styled the XML RSS feed and the sitemap
There is also a great front-end login system so the client doesn’t ever need to login via the /manager/
The site is all built in CSS (No tables)

    What do you lot think?
    Any room for improvement?

      Hi,
looks great but I don’t like to read in circle  grin

You should have a look at maxigallery snippet around line 708 cause in <img> tag title contains <b>

      :-)

Made with MODx : [url=http://www.copadel.com]copadel, fruits et l

Although the front page is quite nice, the colour scheme compared to the rest of the site I think is a little too dark. And perhaps a little too different, it feels like you’re going to a different site.

The front page circle is not the most readable text. I only skimmed the Arenas / Equipment / Booking text, the rest I didn’t even notice til I stood on my head rolleyes

The light blue header banner with white title text on the site pages just doesn’t fit in with the general colour scheme. I think it should be a darker colour to go with the front page scheme.

The shade of red for the menu at the top glares a little, perhaps choose a dark green to go better with the general style.

I also don’t generally think it’s a good idea to point visitors to the admin side of the website, no matter how good the security might be.

Also having your copyright go to a specific page on your site is all well and good. Until you decide to redesign your site. Then you might have a lot of page errors to contend with, or client sites to update. Forward planning... wink

This is just my opinion wink

The footer link on this site points to this page on your site ... ’web-design-development’. If in the future you decide to revamp your site, that document may nolonger exist. Therefore the error page will display on your site when the link is clicked on (unless you have errors going to ID 1 and not a proper ’error’ handler page).

web_designer, very nice design. I don’t usually like "unique" navigation areas like the circular image map thingie but it matches the theme and paintball quite well in this case. I still don’t like reading upside down text, though, and I think that the circle would benefit from having the two bottom items (Contact Us and About Paintball) rightside up. It would be easier to read and would still be circular. Anyway, good job.

Homepage looks great, love the circular navigation. Viewing http://www.adrenalingames.com/paintball_news/desert-paintball.htm with Safari 1.3.2 the first sub-menu items are cut off, about 1 1/2 inch on the right-hand side, the area that is missing is the same height as the green bar. For example, under News, the first menu item simply says Paintball arer (the background is also missing, just that area to the right of arer). The rest of the items (2-7) display fine, until I move my mouse off of the menu. Then the news sub-menu stays displayed, but looses the LEFT half of it’s background, at the same breaking point - after area, only this time the background is missing for all of the sub-menu items.
Strangely, under the Gallery menu the first visible submenu item is fuel-dump gallery and it displays BELOW the green bar - unlike the other sub-menu items, which all start immediately beneath the grey bar.
Also, in Mac Firefox 1.0.4 when you try to choose any sub-menu item, the sub-menu items disappear (catch me if you can !)
The logo has a vertical spacing problem also... I posted a screenshot:
