    Hi everyone,

I’ve started to just use modx and recently began my trek back into the web industry(been gone from it for about 3 years) - so I converted my simple site into modx - still under construction though ^^

You can visit it at http://www.randomrice.com/

Pretty much just using chunks and putting them into the template but at least I can edit my content online since the site only uses 1 page.

Working on another project where it uses more of the full features of modx but I’ll post that when i’m done.

I think that website looks fine already. If you wouldn’t have said it is under construction i wouldn’t have guessed it is.

      And .. welcome smiley

Very impressive! I like this accordion-feature. But why aren’t the open "folds" not closing when I open another one?
I had to guess that clicking on an already opened tab again will close it. Now, having learned that, I find it very useful to build my own "composition" of visible items.
        Great work!

If I click on "Work from 2002 to 2004" it shows the block nicely. Now if I click it again, It hide’s the block, but doesnt subtract it.

It’s good start what you’ve made there.. the right hand side seems a bit empty to me.. but I know, it’s still work in progress. Anyways, good luck with snippets, TVs, plugins etc.. And welcome to the community!

Just out of curiosity: Are the different accordion-entries seperate MODx-documents?? And if so: how do you call them - via TV?
And if you’re already working with moo.fx: it would be even more amazing to do a smooth scroll-down in case the opened accordion-"frame" exceeds the current browser-window height. smiley

Nah i’m just using chunks. But if it was actual pages you would probably just have a php function to get the correct page number and insert it and make a template where it’s blank with just the content for those pages that you are including.

As for the accordian i’m just going to leave it as it is. Too busy fighting my brain. I did however try out the new moo fx and it is a lot smoother because you can increase the animation duration time to make it smooth.
