Looks very nice and works well. Though for me the navigation system (Divisions-button) is a bit annoying. Too much movement for my taste.

I’m sorry to say this but somehow i don’t really like the design either but not only because of the navigation. I think if you limit your header, content and footer part to a width of 800 like you are doing currently, you would achieve a better result visually if you would also use a different background color on the left and right of that middle region.

Anyway the design is a decent base from which you can build upon and improve things a little.

I really like the homepage, its look & function.
And, despite the previous critizism, I also like this "pull-down-sitemap" and the "divisions"-function.
I do not like so much, that, adding to the quite complex top-navigation, you have another navigation at the bottom, the grey panel with the rounded edges. This makes it really difficult to get around and gives the impression that you have more navigational options than navigational targets.
The overall-design I find quite good, just the black top, and esp. the black bottom (which gets quite dominant on less-height pages) look a bit harsh.
And the variety of different content-layouts seems a bit too wide: on each page you have find out again how it’s organized, giving a feeling of "randomness". I would like to know, how you have implemented the top-navigation features (divisions, pull-down menu) with MODx. I’m currently planning a redesign for my site and maybe I can use some of your ideas and techniques? grin

I’m using the Yahoo! UI Library to provide the DHTML effects. There are also other libraries around on the net which are quite popular as well like the moo.fx which I do recommend as well. If you have no idea at all about programming, then you may need to figure out the class programming methods and how you can call each of the functions. The Yahoo! UI Library is quite well documented I believe.

They are both well documented! But moo.fx is by far lighter and needs not so extensive docs als the yui-thing. However: two great libs I didn’t know about up to now. Thanks for the pointers!

I’m also a fan of your top nav system. Big fat and chunky is great!

Also nice to see something different.

                  Top shelf! wink
