Howdy

Hello, world.

I’ve checked out, in depth, at least a dozen open source CMSs over the last couple of years (Mambo/Joomla, Geeklog, e107, Drupal, Xaraya, etc, ad nauseum...), and (sorry -- I’m about to sound like a paid spokesman) none of them has the flexibility and beautiful, easy templating that MODx has. Last year, frustrated with the state of content management, I even built my own (rudimentary but useable) CMS to use for my company’s website, because a simple thing like managing different sections of a website is such a pain in the ass with most CMSs. Anyhow, this is all to say that I’m very psyched about MODx -- I’ve been playing with it for a few days now, and I’m pretty sure my search for a professional, useable CMS is over. Thanks to all of the developers for a really excellent system!

Welcome to MODx smartalec!
love the username, BTW

We appreciate your kind post, and I think you’ll find many of us are involved in this project for the same reason you rolled your own CMS. I look forward to seeing your further thoughts on MODx as you continue your explorations with it, and know you’ll be even more psyched about the future of MODx; we have some great plans taking shape for the future.

Cheers...

Warm welcome smartalec

best regards.
