    Hi all
After lurking in this forum for a while now, I think it’s time to introduce me because I’d like to finally setting up something with MODx.

I’m a Webdeveloper from the Kanton Aargau in Switzerland and working for a company in Wetzikon ZH since about a year now.
We provide our own ColdFusion based CMS.

I mainly work for one customer namely MIGROS (MGB) a big company (market leader) in retail business.

One of my latest projects was ’http://bestofmigros.migros.ch/’ where I did the partner matching stuff and the backend for all the statistical analyses.
Most projects I work on are intranet stuff.

Im a family man and happily married.
Of course I have to say this since in my rare spare time my wife and I run a marriage course together with some friends.
(for details see: http://themarriagecourse.org/marriage/ which is the material our course is based on)

Now for this course I d’like to set up a informational and ressources providing webpage based on MODx and that’s mainly why I just downloaded and installed MODx on my notebook.

Since I mainly will be able to work on this only during my travel from and to work it wont be finished that quickly and I’ll sometimes not be able to reply to posts quickly. Nevertheless I of course already treasure the active and friendly MODx community and am looking forward to the 0.9.5 and 1.0 releases and some offline manuals ;-)

We bought, before I started there else I would’ve had a say. We use CommonSpot - currently trying to work past it’s limitations ...

Don’t get me wrong, it’s good in a lot of areas but where it falls down, it falls down in a big way.

CommonSpot isn’t very common in Europe - at least not in the German speaking part, I think.
I used to do some work with Contribute (which on the other hand isn’t very popular in the US I guess) and might look at farcry another time (I don’t want to start with two new CMS parallel).

Yeah, tell me about it ... we’re one of a handful of organisations using it in the UK wink Farcry looks promising for a CF-based CMS but I’m not sure of how much it is developed - I haven’t checked it for a while.
