My first site using modx for a manufacturer of some rather amazing bathroom TVs.

The products sections and gallery are fully managed with modules, and use some of my own custom js classes to create the alpha fading, expanding/collapsing content regions, etc in a fully accessible way (works with js off). Also created a file downloads resource using documents to represent files, newslisting to list them and a snippet I wrote to grab the details of the files dynamically. Accessible flash embedding using swfobject.js wrapped up in a snippet with alternate content for non-flash browsers.

Happy to share any code/techniques if anyone is interested (I’m not too sure on how to package modules for easy install, but I can explain what tables to create etc).

Anyway, I’d be interested to see what you think, positive criticism and suggestions very welcome.

        Simply stunning website!

        Awesome... etc etc. laugh

        Thanks for sharing.

Regarding Modules, you can check the modules available to see how they handle tabe creations inside them. e.g. http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,3391.msg24176.html#msg24176 & http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,2549.msg17378.html#msg17378

        Hope this helps.

        best regards,

Well, I don’t even have a TV at all in the house, and the thought of one in my bathroom...

However, that is a really nice site, and I would especially love the details on that gallery. I am sort of collecting gallery scripts and methods, and that is a lovely one!

I’ll take a look at some existing modules and work out how to package the gallery. I’m actually in the process of creating a photographer’s site which will add a few more features like forward/back controls and a counter, so I’ll incorporate that too. In the meantime here are a few screens of the gallery module, and one of the product manager module (which is really just an extended version of the gallery):

Unfortunately they won’t give me a free tv... but I did get to art direct the shoot with the model in the bath smiley

Looks really nice! Especially like the extensive meta data, very useful for shopping site catalogs!

That’s just awesome! I like the colors, easy on the eye and the scheme perfectly matches the product and theme - the flash is nicely integrated, the nav’s informative - and the gallery *wow* fantastic ! You’ve done a great job keeping it clean! Ten out of ten, go register it at webdesignbook.net there aren’t many flash pieces showcased it’ll be sure to do well, and cssmania.

                  Two small things.
The third float on this page

Drops down the screen (mac firefox) - and I couldn’t find a price list ?

                  Nice job!

Nice catch Starbuck, thanks. Looks like the image in the first column was 1px too wide.

If you want prices you can call or email Mat at Aquavision, and he’ll put you in touch with a local bathroom store for a quote (which will include fitting). Unfortunately they don’t sell direct, at least not yet, and as a manufacturuer they can only set guide prices - so they leave this to the distributors. As a guide, expect to pay around £1100 (UK), 1600 Euro or around $2000 in the US for the 17" in polar white. So not cheap... but once you see these things you will want one!
