globword.fr - my first MOdx powered website

Hi modx people,

I’m pleased to introduce you http://www.globword.fr (90% done)

This is my first website based on MODx. It’s for a translation agency owned by a friend of mine

That was such a pleasure to make it using Modx.

Greetings to MODx team, microformat team for JAH functions(used for quote : to see them in action click on flags under "traductions les plus demandées" in right column and fill the form, simon wilson (for javascripts functions used in order form), Valerio Proietti for moofx and Micah Carrick for paypal class (I hope Idon’t forget anybody).

I’d like to be able to testimony how modx was an advantage to me doing this work but my english is such limited :-( I’ve developped a module to  manage languages and prices That was so easy using modx api. What I mean is that I would certainly have never developed this module without MODx.

One more time, thanks to all people contributing to MODx.

Something really odd occured while I was editing my content this afternoon.

I was in the manager, saved a document and in the main frame appeared an image (nothing else -> that was an embossed button picture)  which was not one of mines 
I’d like to know how I could increase security in my forms even though I’m not convinced in being "hacked".
I’ve quiclky added striptags function to clean inputs.

Do you guess that’s enough???

Perhaps should I open a specific thread about this issue ?

What did it look like?

Also, what form submit code are you using?

It’s a nice bright site!

The web has too many ’dark’ sites because web developers are usually grumpy anti-social types and they subconsciously communicate that to the world in the color schemes they use - take, ummm - modxcms for example *RALAO* (rolls around laughing ar$e off).

Its a nice ’alive’ site easy to navigate even for a person who does not speak word of french (me)

Yeah waow pretty nice website Heliotrope, very nice graphics : it’s very polished and professionnal

I especially love the three part main menu with a one line description : very powerful !

The only thing that I would have done different would be to have less "flashy" items in the right column. And I find pages a bit overloaded with "attention capturing elements" IMHO.

Anyway, I am really looking into details, the site is great : don’t forget to post it in the french forums !

Now, this is the first MODx site I have seen without the default HTTP response headers; I noticed straight away in FF the back-button doing what it is supposed to do: taking one back to the page as it was.. HTTP headers are never going to raise passions, but nevertheless, it might be worth bringing this to the attention of the team.

Host setting ? Or was this voluntary and how did you set it that way and why ?
