    Hello people of plante MODx,

My name is Mike. My main labels are Graphic artist and Web designer. However I have an itch that need’s scratching, this itch was created by a C64 and BASIC.

Q1) Ok so how did I find MODx?

Q2) Why do I want to be part of a MODx forum?

A1) I have been on the prowl for a powerful yet simple CMS to learn, develop and use as the framework for future sites. I had installed and played around with the usual suspects like Joomla!, Textpattern, Pmachine etc.

    • Joomla at first looked promising, except I (and why the MODx team ROCKS) did not want YAPS. Also the tables! CSS rules the earth, tables for design are from satan.

    • Textpattern is great, just not up to MODx capabilities. (so I say)

    • PMachine - We’ll I wanted to get involved in an Open Source CMS.

Basically I feel like MODx is just the right chair, bed, porridge! Goldilocks

A2) I want to get involved in an Open Source app/project that I can immerse myself in and help in any way possible.... Bill Gates, Steve Jobs Who?

I am a graphic desiger and hope to bring my skills to this forum via contributing templates.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok so other notes: I have noticed the lack of great looking websites made with MODx. It’s a shame, the sites out there do not give MODx enough credit. What a fantastic CMS yet some really terrible looking sites... Actually I found out about MODx from stylegala.com which is puzzling? Stylegala, well is stylish, MODx site is stylish....

Anyways is there a gallery I have missed somewhere along the road?

And I hope these comments have been taken in the correct context. Ultimately I believe the graphic layout of sites powered by MODx need to step up a level....

OK thanks MODx once again..... and I enjoy the future use of a buzzword compliant CMS.
