Hello MODx members!
I have to say I am amazed at the speed with which I have developed my latest project using modx. Been sometime since I had this feeling of wanting to be stuck in front of this screen like this.
I have not updated my profile yet but thought I will start here. Based in England (mostly in the East Midlands) although well travelled around the globe, I make the best of both eastern and western culture. Timing myself between Eruope and Middle East and catering as consultant for Convergent Technology industry.
My work profile? started as a basic programmer back in the days when you stood out in a crowd cause u could OOP. Programming was it for me. Moved to PHP platform in 1997 with my first project being a CMS
Creativity was something me and my partner (him a designer and me a developer) thrived on. We even impressed BT (British Telecom) at a conference where we showcased our beta CMS - a tag team was able to download pages 70 times faster sites developed by a high profile firm - was impressive in the 56k download days. So we went on to glory from there and pioneered a CMS that now powers some high volume clients.
All good things have a price to pay I guess. So 2 years ago I decided to get a balance in life and took a few months off to get in shape as I weighed 95 kgs, had a pouch as big as my grandads and the chubbiest cheeks the family had ever seen. Not acceptable for a sprinter who did 100m in 10.437 sec in the early years. Few months became a year, new oppurtunities and a new life. No I am lean mean 78 kg ripped and can admire my 6 pack regularly (so as to remind myself I need to keep it there!) -
But here is the best part, thanks to modx I can truly use my expereince to explore all areas of my development and creativity without having to worry about loosing my shape.
