This is the latest thing I have done to www.scottydelicious.com using MODx. I have spent the last 3-4 weeks learnging more about AJAX (we certainly have heard a lot about it here!), and mastering my CSS and XHTML. On this particular template, I used some of the script.aculo.us effects to do a "blind" toggle on all the left sidebar <div>’s, and that was so much fun that I also added it to the main content <div>.

    Here are the validation links:
XHTML 1.1 with no errors or warnings. (On the main page. There is still a snippet or two causing problems on other pages.)
CSS 2 with no errors OR WARNINGS!!!

If you like the design, or hate the desing, would you leave a comment here?
I appreciate the feedback of my peers and the experts here at MODx.

    thanks

          Nice one...
Try to eliminate prototype and script aculos. Use moo.fx and prototype lite instead, you will decrease the size of your page by 30kb or so.

Btw, the terms AJAX is being rated too much right now. I would say that you should state your site as web 2.0 instead of AJAX, because web 2.0 covers ajax, javascript animation, and all richmedia application on the web smiley
AJAX is more like a combination technology idea to achieve a more responsive site by communicating with server asynchronously.

              Nice Work,Scotty. I like the "Ajax’-Thing.

Is it possible to give a MODX-Newbie a tip to implement this javafeature ?
stativ nav -> loading the content in a special div (like you did on your site, when the user is choosing a nav-link)
I had a short glimpse on the most up-to-date Ajax-Stuff given by Ajaxian.com, but didn’t tried any site yet.
So i would be thankful for a short-cut to build this feature with ModX. Maybe a hint or a fingertip on a link would help. rolleyes

My opinion is your design is pretty nice (for a rockstar-nurse wink )
