    http://www.cromwellcare.com/

I just finished this site for a Solicitor’s firm. It uses Valid XHTML (strict) and CSS.
I have integrated Google Maps, An AJAX contact form and Flash all with ease. "All thanks to Modx"  wink

There are two stylesheets, one for screen, one for print and degrades gracefully on older browsers. I use snippets and chunks throughout. It might be overkill I know for such a small site, but I just wanted to see how much I could automate with MODx, and how much I could integrate other techniques.

I use MIR image replacement and UFO Flash embedding to get around the validation issues.

    Links:
    MIR: http://www.stuffandnonsense.co.uk/archives/examples/malarkey-method-example.html
    UFO: http://www.bobbyvandersluis.com/ufo/
AJAX form (snippet created by Mark): http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,2611.msg18004.html#msg18004

For Safari user’s, they get a nice CSS drop shadow in the menu text and in the right hand side blue box ala "text-shadow" selector smiley

For the print stylesheet, to make sure the logo and the background images that are dynamically placed via MIR actually Print, I used this technique:

No actual name to the technique, but here is the link: http://web-graphics.com/mtarchive/001703.php

As you may know, when dynamically setting a bg image in CSS, it wont print on your printer, and most Image replacement techqniques utilise the ’background-image’ selector. This "hack" gets around the issue, mind you, you need to play about with your ID’s and stuff to make sure it all works, but well worth it in the end.

Feedback on the site is appreciated smiley

Erm.... I would check the site if I were you. And delete the /install directory.

You are asking for trouble there.

            Hey Tyrekicker smiley

thanks for the heads up, no need to panic, I was just moving host’s! It should all work fine and dandy now.
I had the site hosted with MediaTemple, now I am giving Site5 a try, so far so good, and very fast tech support.

                    Thanks for the comments guys!
The client didn’t pay much, so I didn’t go overboard with the design. However I gave them editorial control over the content.

I used the [*introtext*] TV for the right hand side blue box and also the page-description meta tag. I think the client put the quotes in, but I just sneaked in and took them out, let’s hope they don’t notice wink
