David From Paris

My name is David, I am a cms enthusiast who really started contributing to opensource communities with Textpattern which I discovered in april 2004. I started a series of translations with this CMS. I am now a moderator of the textpattern french forum and I am also heading the french documentation effort.

I have translated BitWeaver, Unclassified NewsBoard and I am currently working on AroundMe’s translation.

I have been familiar with Etomite for some time, but was frustrated by the lack of regular updates and improvements. Though I keep a close eye on everything new in opensource CMS, I just discovered MODx (how come I didn’t before ?) on opensourcecms.com. I must say I am impressed and willing to invest time in this friendly and apparently dynamic community

We do have a private SVN repository and will be looking at moving more public in the future. We also have a great French group that is translating and working on building a native-French support and community structure.

Ryan, you do have a very nice french group which I am getting to know already, I noticed and exchanged a few messages, there’s talent and motivation there. About SVN : I was just curious, I already have my hands full with 0.9.0 :p
