Here’s a site where there’s no scripting available. I built the site locally, using friendly URLs, then exported it. It’s needed a bit of work here and there (I don’t speak German at all, so there were some spelling errors), but not much.
I created a simple HTML template for the documents in the News/Archives section, into which I can fairly easily insert the main part of Word documents converted to HTML with NeoOffice/J (wish I were a "real" programmer, I’d work on their HTML conversion code!
) with some editing of the HTML code, and then add the link to the News/Archives page.
The "counter" is a hosting-provided CGI script easily enough inserted into the home page. I could change the images for the numbers.
The site will hopefully be moved to a host with scripting and database soon, but this works quite nicely.
