You guys have win me over!

Here is a little background about myself:
Chanh Ong is a Computer Specialist. Chanh has many years experience in various computer platforms and operating system, programming languages, system administration, DBA and etc. I am the site admin for opensourceCMS.com and my personal site is ongetc.com. I am a developer for Mambo addons. I developed several populars Mambo addons and you can see it here at Mamboforge.net.

I have been lurking here at Modx since day one that I found out about Modx was kick out of Etomite and start a fork. I am mightyly impress with the energy and synergy of this team and now I would like to be part of this team.

What does it take to be part of your team?

    Thanks

Well first there’s the $10,000 application fee. j/k smiley

I don’t think we have any real criteria for who can be part of the team. For me personally I was "nominated" to be on the coding team after I had released some code back to the community and had basically just showed interest for a while.

I’m sure we’ll be thrilled to have you on the team. Ryan will probably be the one to have to give you the access to the developer areas. I’m sure he’ll be contacting you soon.

Any thought on what area of the team you’d like to be a part of? Coding Team maybe?

P.S. I love opensourceCMS.com, it has always been a great resource for me. Thanks.

        Adam,

        Thanks for your reply.

I have a passion for development and troubleshooting problem!

I have been in this field for so long that I had my hand on nearly everything that touched devlopement meaning coding, testing, documenting, training, etc.

PS: OpensourceCMS has become one of my passion in the last couple years and I am glad that you like it!
        • It takes a willingness to contribute along with relevant experience that will help make our software easier to use and more robust. You, sir, certainly qualify ... I would have a hard time coming up with a better endorsement than the man responsible for opensourcecms.com coming on board. That says a lot for MODx/Tattoo and is quite honestly an exciting confirmation of our "mission".

          In short: welcome aboard!

            Ryan and the Modx team,

I am glad and appreciated to be accept as a member of the "Modx team".

I will be happy to contribute in any way that I can.

This is my observation and contribution to Modx cause:

Modx has many wonderful features but it lack one thing that will be a big disenable for it to be as successful as Mambo is an addons installer.

In my opinion the reason Mambo is as successful as it is now is due to its installer for component, module, bots and template. The installers make Mambo so easy for an average Joe to extend Mambo and for the developers to enhance Mambo.

So if Modx has a similars installer to install snippets, tempalte or themes, etc. With the installer, in time, Modx will be as successful and popular as Mambo and even surpass it!

Thanks for letting me to be a member of the "Modx team"

MOD NOTE: Discussion of the installer moved to http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,7699.0.html
