    HI Xer’s,
I have just re-vamped a site for a client and their IT company holds the domain name and all their email/IT set up in an account with a registrar. They have pointed the A record at my hosting account IP address with my modX install/cpanel etc.and everything is working fine.... apart from the usual trusty Eform snippet - The enquirer will get a copy of the message in their inbox but the client isn’t receiving anything (I have also tried a separate php form set up) - is this something to do with having just the A record and not the DNS pointing to my server ?? any help greatly appreciated.
    Cheers AL.

If the sender is receiving his copy, then the problem is on the recipient’s mail server. Probably has strict spam detection rules, and if you don’t supply all the information it expects it just dumps the email. Do you have &from and &fromname &replyto parameters? I’ve tested difficult mail situations using a command line and raw telnet commands. http://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/show/11

        Hi,
Thanks Susan for your help - used your approach to see route of emails and realised it was still on local server - trawled through cpanel and found a ’use remote mail exchanger’ setting (instead of local mail) changed and SOLVED - Cheers AL.
