This post might be better served in Webworker Lounge, but I’ll fire away anyway.

I’m a creative generalist - a bit of design, bit of development, copywriting, social media marketing etc etc. I’ve run several online teams at reasonably well-known places in the UK, but I got sick of commuting and wanted to be my own boss. So I jumped overboard and started freelancing. After 15 years client-side this was a bit of a shock - not least in having to learn a whole bunch of new stuff related to working for oneself.

While this was fun for a while, I’m getting a little tired of constantly updating a very broad skillset, and want to spend more time focusing on specific things. I’m really good (I think) at two things - problem solving, and stringing words together. For the first part of that equation, even though it makes me want to throw my monitor out of the window every now and again, I would like to specialise in MODx development. I’m also really keen to become a ’proper’ and ’useful’ part of this community.

So... what I’m looking for is either an agency, or freelance designer who wants someone else to do that part of the job (templates, template variables, CMPs, custom databases etc) and they make it look pretty. We can argue about who writes the words and how to split the cheque (sorry, ’check’ for my US friends) later.

Would there be any interest here in such an arrangement, or seeing as I’m probably preaching to the choir here, is there any advice from the devs out there as to where to advertise or find designers who don’t want to code?

Thanks in advance (either message me or answer in flow)
