    Hi all,

I am tasked with building an e-comerce store a client, and they run modx for their website content. Just about install the e-commerce software in the /shop directory only to find it redirects and won’t allow me to get to that directory !

I have looked in the .htaccess file and changed:

    # Exclude /assets and /manager directories from rewrite rules
    RewriteRule ^(manager|assets) - [L]

    to:

    # Exclude /assets and /manager and /shop directories from rewrite rules
    RewriteRule ^(manager|assets|shop) - [L]

Saved it, made sure it is saved as .htaccess, tried different browsers, cleared the cache etc and it still won’t let me access the /shop directory that I created.

Any advice please? Thanks - Jack

Hmm... htaccess rules should automatically serve a document instead of MODx if a ’physical’ document or folder exists. You would not normally even have to alter the .htaccess file.

What does your shop directory look like? Do you have an anchor file within it (index.php, index.html)? Are you 100% sure the folder is in your web directory and it has appropriate web-readable permissions?
