I am looking for a developer familiar with Revolution to help to create a secure booking payment page.

    • SSL.
    • 2 simple packages for purchase.
    • 3 payment options in a drop-down; Paypal, Bank deposit, Discuss payment.
    • If Paypal chosen, customer is sent through Paypal to purchase.
    • If Bank deposit or Discuss payment chosen, customer is shown relevant page (Bank details or msg that we’ll be in touch).
    • Booking details emailed to admin.
    • Booking details emailed to client.

    • I should stress that there is really only 1 payment system here – Paypal.
    • There’s only 2 different products (packages), and as such no need for a product management / inventory system whatsoever.
    • Bank deposit and Discuss Payment options simply need to redirect to page with static text – nothing special to see here.
    • No interdependencies between the location, date and packages.
    • All front-end work (html, css, extJS) complete – no need to do any front-end work.

Does one zero lack in the price?

Are you suggesting that at $150 USD an hour (assuming the pay rate of a very talented and proficient programmer) that it’s going to take you nearly 27 solid hours to complete something like this?

... on the other hand 2 1/2 h is calculated very very optimistic too

That’s right; it probably is overly optimistic. rolleyes

One of my main concerns is that I’ll end up shelling out 4K+ to have an amateur with a half-assed understanding of PHP and Revolution take it on without the skills to see it through at high level of quality. I doubt I would be alone in having found people through this forum to work on projects only to be disappointed with the outcome.

MODx really need to implement a way for people putting out commercial bounties to be assured to the best degree possible that they’re hiring someone who REALLY have the skills needed to complete the task.

I would shell out more cash without a second thought if it was done by a "certified" MODx developer with tested and proven skills in Revolution/Evo. MODx would benefit greatly by getting this kind of system in place!

Did you lift that from my C.V. laugh
Ryan may well post saying watch out for the soon(?) to be launched "certified MODx developer" programme.

I think your task can easily be done with FormIt and a rewrite of the SSL plugin for Evo. 400$ is not too much but it might be doable.

I personally have no experience with FormIt but if it’s similar to eForm it shouldn’t be too hard to implement. I might be able to help you but I’m not available right now. Maybe at the end of the month.
