I have a form data handling requirement that’s beyond my current understanding of PHP. I’m not going to provide the full project specs at this time, but will share the following outline. I can share all detail required for a well-informed estimate once I’ve heard from you regarding your interest, availability, and rate info.

I have a scenario in which the web user will customize price sets related to items being sold on a Web site. A price set consists of three parameters -- a size, 3-4 options related to that size, and a corresponding price for each size/option combo. For each set, anywhere from 3-5 sizes will be offered (again, this is up to the Web user to determine). In addition, there will be a "standard" price set applied to the majority of items being sold, with custom price sets for the remainder. As with the aforementioned price set parameters, the quantity of custom price sets will be determined by the Web user.

Price sets will be input by the Web user via a web form. This information will be stored in the database and then passed into a second, add-to-cart form on the purchase page that integrates with gCart. It will consist simply of a dropdown field listing the size/option/price combinations for that item. The Web user determines which price set is to be used when creating each purchase page.

I realize that more detail is required for anyone to provide an estimate, but please pm me if you’re interested in pursuing this opportunity. Include your rate and availability. I’m assuming that if you’re on this board you know MODx, but familiarity with gCart or other no-cost, MODx-adapted cart solution is in this case a plus.

      Hi,

When telling about "Web user". Do you mean some manager (editor) of the website or someone having more limited access and can just add products? I’m not sure if you need a multi-merchant system.

In most cases, if your client is a merchant without special IT background, he could simply log in the MODx manager and access the backend of some cart module.

TreasureChest 1.0 to 1.2 backend allows up to two options lists.
In-developement 1.3 version was tested successfully with up to 8 option lists.
      TreasureChest’s backend is intuitive.

Priced options are not natively implemented into TreasureChest but this can be programmed if you have some budget. This would be a nice new feature.
By "priced options", I mean options that have an influence on the final price.

Some screenshots of TreasureChest’s backend are available here:
      http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,46813.msg296858.html#msg296858

The options can be set by clicking a product name in the Product Manager.
Unfortunately, I cannot make a screenshot of the page showing options because my site is currently under maintenance. (screenshot was added)

      Hope this helps.
