Hi there,
We’re in need of a caching expert to get our site humming along (front-end as the backend seems to run fine!). We’ve read thro the forums and looks like memcached would be a good option for us. (we’re running a vps in the cloud).
We’re looking for someone to work 1-off for us to get the site as optimised as possible. We do have some external calls (to windguru.com for example) so i thought i’d mention it as i dont know how this affects things.
Please email us direct: info[at]surfacewatch[dot]com with your rates, timeframes and experience.
Thanks

FWIW, there’s not going to be much you can do with Evo to solve this with memcached. Caching is quite limited in Evo, especially when compared with the new facilities in Revolution, which has support for configurable caching and is isolated into smaller segments (i.e. config, context, resource, script, lexicon, etc.). Not saying it can’t be done in Evo, but you might consider comparing the effort to move to Revolution vs. the effort to hack the caching in Evo to do what you need.
