Need to Add a Private Section to Website

I have a fairly basic MODx site that I am working on and hope to complete early next month. Part of the scope of work calls for a section where partners can login and retrieve documents and information after logging in.

There are two ways this could be done; first possibility is unique logins which permit access to 1 community page and 1 group page - each login would be assigned a membership to a group. Second possibility is each unique login is tied to 1 community page and their own custom page specific to their login.

All that is necessary is adding the feature and capability, setting up a few samples and that’s it. I will populate the pages with content and files that we would like accessed. I believe there are plug-ins that already exist for this but due to time constraints prefer it is done right by someone more capable than myself. Please respond with an estimate of time and cost and if you have done this previously. I appreciate your input and reply.

Thanks,

Hi,

Find my email details in private inbox, thanks

I would like to know how to add a private section to a website too! So why not share the info here?

Here are the basics of this.

You can do amazing things though. I built a security system for our website using Salesforce.com to manage all of our users and created about 20 MODx Web User accounts to be impersonated depending on the access level that I wanted to give to the Salesforce User.

Again, read the above article. I am a MODx Newbie, but BOB’s GUIDE has been a great help. As well as this Cheat Sheet. http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=0Asi19Br0u_SrcEhKU0k1eWU1RnhxUmZoMW5FUENuSkE&gid=3
