Hi all! I have recently paid a company to get our website launched. Overall, I am pleased with the site, but there is some functionality that is missing and I am not confident that the developers I used can deliver (mainly because it doesn’t do this already). So, I am looking for help!

Basically, I want to be able to syndicate through RSS feeds, Facebook and Twitter (and eventually podcast). Currently, we have events and announcements add-ons, but they don’t go into our rss feed. The headers and columns are "hardcoded" so I do not have access to tweak any columns, which is causing me some difficulty (I am used to wordpress and have used Dreamweaver for my html work in the past). Website is www.visionlearningcenter.com

What I envision - newsletter, blog, events, announcements all can be syndicated. I would like to add in the right column of the homepage and area of favorite blogs/links/etc. I was thinking the main blog on the home page could be more formal, and I can link to a different blog for informal. I want to be able to add things to the site all the time - websites, articles, news clips, etc. that are interesting or that my patients tell me about and would like to pass on. I am a Behavioral Optometrist that specializes in vision therapy. We work a lot with individuals with learning problems, disabilities, on the austism spectrum, athletes who want to enhance visual function and those with head injuries to help with rehabilitation.

If you think you can do this quickly, efficiently and relatively inexpensively, I could use you! Thanks in advance!

I don’t know why everything doesn’t feed either. I have the blog feeding, but that is it. Don’t know exactly what other information you need...

In case it helps, in the stock RSS setup in MODx the RSS feed is based on pulling docs from a particular folder. Take a look at the RSS feed doc, and look at its &startID. That will correspond to the stuff you’re seeing, most likely.

I just changed my test system so that under &startID I have several folder numbers separated by commas. Works a treat!

              Good luck.
