Anybody interested to build a proper disqus commenting snippet/module?

I know disqus can be used on modx with chunks to use the javascript that shows the commenting script from disqus. Drawback with this is that the comments will not be indexed. And for seo purposes it is good if they are indexed.

I understand that if the disqus api is used the comments will be indexed.

But for that to work, someone will have to write some php code to build the module/snippet for modx.

I am looking for some people who would like to fund this together with me, and ofcourse I am looking for someone who would like to build it.

The module/snippet will then be given back to the modx community.

If you want to fund, please let me know, if you want to build it, please let me know also!

    Thanks!

    Oliver

I did a run with the Disqus API and while it’s a very intresting concept, the API is still too incomplete to fit my needs so i just stopped.

However, you can already play with the entire API with this php class which contain all the public API method for Disqus

          Hello,

I’ve done basic testing with it, but only to get datas from the Disqus server. No Front end formatting and posting.
So basically i’ve put a snippet call to a custom file where i played with the API methods and printed the result obtained.

The API don’t allow easy sorting of the received comments and one useful API method was not working.
The google support list was not very helpful too.

I tried checking several site implementing this solution, and the result was not appealing in my eyes so i just stopped to play with it.
