MODx module/ snippet (or something) needed

Hi all!

I need a module, snippet... or something to do a aplication that I will try to explain a bit more... First of all sorry bout my english hehe

Here is the deal...

1. go to croevent.net (for example this is used)
2. you have an EVENTS page where are all upcoming events displayed
3. on certain events (could be done with some TVs) you have an option to participate an event (like... some kind of "attending" function)
4. when a user (ONLY registered users) clicks on a button, their name and surname must be displayed somewhere (manager?) linking to that event
5. it also must have some time limit (untill when users can apply for free entrance)

I think this is a lot similar to facebook aplication "RSVP" on Events page... but must be done in MODx..


anybody interested in doing this for some fee or is there some kind of snippet that does that?

I’ve built 3 sites with event booking systems or registration systems using MODx - one works as you say, the others take payments online. If ramsay’s not already sorted you out I’d be very interested in talking further with you.

Hi gang,

I solved this with a snippet. It’s not incredibly advanced but it does allow the presentation of an "add me" button during a defined time period and tracks who adds themself. It also has the ability to list all the events and their attendees or all the events attended by the current user. I need to clean up a few bits and test it in a few more settings but if it is something that lots of people need we could make it available.

Although I didn’t actually discuss licensing with Mproject, so he’d have to be ok with it too
