I am new to modx but not new to needing full CMS control over a websites content, SEO ideas, new pages, etc. I am looking for a low cost reason for taking one of the many domain names I own and finally turning it into a website. Perhaps what I really need is a freelance designer who can get me started.
I envision a start of 10 to 20 pages along with all of the other SEO goodies and basic pages like anchor text links, sitemap, a Link To Us page, about us, contact, etc. My business is extremely slow now so there is no high pressure to do this now, however, nothing like planning for the future today so that I can have a better foothold tomorrow.
Use of the site: The site will be used as a real estate site. No blogs. No e-commerce like credit cards. I will not need lists of properties on the site since the site will be used as more of a doorway page to a larger site I already have that has the large lists of properties. Therefore, the site’s goal is to have a strong SEO presence and provide lots of information about various real estate topics relating to the site. The changes made to the site will be either new articles that will have a simple, probably 3 column SEO template that will have SEO fields for Title, Description, H!, H2, footer, etc. I will also want to have several template available for example properties.
