Snippets

I have a working set of php files for a calendar manager. I wish to put this in a secure environment within MODx. I can get the first file where I want using a snippet and then using the weblogins. However, this php file calls other files which are outside this environment, so therefore defeats the object of having the file in a secure page. I tried to put the other php files into snippets but to no avail (i.e. call a snippet from a snippet).

I am by no means a programmer (actually just a designer) so would like to outsource this and pay via VISA. Can someone please come back with an estimate and/or more info from me.

I’ve unlocked this topic as I thought I had fixed the problem but now realise I haven’t.

I think there is an easier solution but as I know nothing about php I need to outsource this. Basically, I need to secure some php files that reside in the same directory as my MODx website but not actually in the MODx CMS. These php files are a calendar manager that needs to be changed only by the user when logged in. At the moment anyone can change this. At first I thought about including these as snippets but that doesn’t seem to work for me - but then, I’m only a novice in this.

I found these two forum feeds that I think answer this question, but as I have stated before, my knowlodge of PHP is zilch.
