I am trying to complete a CSS menu design using Wayfinder. The graphic design is complete but my problem is getting the CSS background images to work properly (i.e. normal and hover states) and as efficiently as possible. So, basically what I am looking for is a CSS guru with ModX experience who can help me.

This is a rounded tab menu system with drop-down menus. I want the tabs to use images for nice roll-over effects. The images should automatically accomodate different lengths of menu text. Consequently, fixed tab images won’t work. I also want to use CSS sprites so that only ONE image is used for the menu tab backgrounds. The menu has to work consistently in all the popular browsers (back to IE 6 anyway) and has to load fast. If Javascript is necessary for this to work, I am open for that.

I have been hacking at this for awhile and have finally given up. I realize I am not as CSS-savvy as I dreamed I was and need to leave this to an expert. I would be interested to know whether somebody is up to the challenge of this for a reasonable bounty.

    Thanks!
