I need someone to code the templates I have designed into a website and provide functionality to the site. The website, is a cook book review site. Which means it will require the following functionality, (I have already uploaded and installed Modx on my site domain), my problem resides in incorporating the templates into the site and developing the functionality. I have designed the templates based on a similar site I have also had designed in Modx.
The site must allow users to submit cook book reviews, which will then be verified by myself and posted on to the site. (I would like to receive notification when a review arrives). Please refer to the file attached called Home Page.pdf this is the proposed home page for the site.
The site needs to be user friendly, the reviews will need to be classified by author and title, using the first letter of each. So when the user goes to look for a book by Donna Hay, they will go to the search function by author, click on the letter D and go to the page with all authors who’s name starts with the letter D - refer to the file Directory of reviews.pdf. The authors will need to be alphabetically ranked, ie Dan, David, Donna. From here the user can click on a hyper link say Donna Hay, which should then take the user to a page where they can pick which Donna Hay books they would like to look at. - Refer to file cookbooks by author.pdf. From here they will see the example of the review I have attached. Refer to review page.pdf
The site will need a search function so the user can type in either an author or title and search, which will take them to the authors page.
I will need additional pages, such as about and contact us.
I would like another page where all the cook book reviews can populate one page, listed, ranked by the most current review. This page should contain a list of all reviews with only the books title and author, which the user can then click on and see all the reviews submitted for this book. I am happy to make this page a button some where on the site. That would also appear on each and every page, titled ’All Reviews!’
Essentially and perhaps more importantly the site must allow for Google ads to be placed, above the header, on the sides and in amongst text, ie in between submitted reviews. Please refer to the purple boxes on the attachments. I don’t want purple boxes of course this is merely to highlight the areas I want the adds to appear.
I am happy to build the content of the site, I just need someone to set it up as a shell.
