What to charge

Since I am a network admin/IT manager by trade and handle web work as a hobby/small time I really do not know what I should charge for a project offered for me to do. He would like a layout similar to my current project http://www.angrygaming.org/angrygamers/agnewsx with maxigallery, and possibly integration of SMF forums which is proving to be a pain in the butt for myself. Since he is creating the template in dreamweaver/photoshop and I will just have to cut it up into chunks/snippets and all I am unaware of the current charging rate. Plus I take it maxigallery is a shell and I would need to utilze the tempalte to maxi galley? More I type this out more I just wanna offer it to someone else as I have quite abit left to do on angrygamers. So let’s do this, I am not even gonna bother trying to do this could someone give me an idea of the cost to do a project like this so I can let him know. If he accepts I can just post here, pretty good guy he offered half in paypal right away half on delivery.

Since I just realized I haven’t uploaded my recent local copy up to the site, I’ll just list what he wants since my site is just an empty template online atm.

Index - He wants it to post the latest articles regardless if news/how-to/review/ in a Subject/Summary style on the front page, Next link he wants a news link to show only News postings/News postings must be able to display youtube video/thumbnail img related to news
Third Link he wants a directory listing of all his reviews/how-to/previews/editorials
Fourth link About
Fifth link forums
Sixth link - maxi gallery

Seperate menu linking display of all recent news postings

I think that covers it, alot of the stuff I was able to do with the extra’s section of cmsmodx.com and ditto for my own site (the youtube displayer/smf-bridge)

However I will say the SMF-bridge is becoming a pain to set-up myself but I am slowly getting it all worked out.

so is it already on modx or it should be transformed into modx templates and chunks?

yea I knew I had it wide open I am just going crazy with all the work here and there and thank you for the responses

yea for the most part i already have it cut up and converted to the modx theme

I also purchased vbulletin to replace my SMF forums I still will want to integrate this and instead of making another topic I have been searching and only been finding questions with no answers. Like SMF bridge is their one available for VBulletin is it a pain like the SMF one?

I think I am understanding modx more now so News wise i understand now it’s done on a level base so I can do News level 1 have ditto display that level only then articles a new level how-to’s etc etc and on the index page just have ditto display 1-443434 levels desired for a complete index listing

because if I understand this correctly maxi gallery would be inside the site unlike coppermine so the shell of the site with my template would stay the same and allow updating of pictures.
I would need one container to generate a listing of several children containers relating per genre.

by the time i finish all mine doing his would be a breeze, the only problem is as soon as you figure something out in modx you just realized you could do 20 more things. Damn this programs endless capabilities

Depending on if I find myself struggling tonight with this and cost I would be interested in perhaps receiving some help so i can get back to programming my world of warcraft ranking engine for my site.
