JWMsales,
I read your profile and your website and it appears as if you have some very happy clients. I will definitely keep you in mind as far as a potential MODx consultant. I will probably contact you soon to see what kind of finder fee you think is fair as far as me referring you sales prospects.
Here is an update:
In August, which is the organization’s less busy time, I am going to be talking to an organization which has an email list that is extremely large. I am going to suggest they develop an affiliate marketing program with suggested resources on how to build websites. Also, whatever software is powering this organization’s website is kicking out SEO unfriendly URLs so they might be a MODx candidate. As far as a potential affiliate marketing affiliates, MODx looks excellent as far as website software due to its search engine friendly nature and growing support base. In August, I am also sending out a proposal to an existing client for me to beef up their affiliate program in terms of performance and numbers of affiliates. I am also going to be contacting other organizations as well in August. Previously, I worked for a sales and management training company and I do have telemarketing experience as far as contacting Presidents or organizations and VPs of sales, so I am hoping for good success. Maybe in this recessionary environment a low cost internet based method to increase sales will look good.
My thinking is that donor based organizations are feeling the financial pinch and will likely take a bigger financial hit as I think the US economy and perhaps the world economy is going to get much worse in the coming years. I think affiliate marketing will look better and better to these organizations and their supporters who will need to earn extra cash.
Please wish me the best.
